The winter landscape is filled with beauty and has been our inspiration for our unit on landscape painting. Students worked with the concepts of foreground, middle ground and background to create space in their paintings. We began with watercolor techniques of wet in wet to create a dawn or dusk sky. Next, we added trees using a printing process with cardboard. Finally, using an impasto thick paint stroke, students added the winter snowfall....stay tuned for the results!
