Third graders are learning about the Batik process of wax resist as they apply a thick coat of crayon color and paint over their owls with tempera. Once the owls have been finished we will be adding "words of wisdom" to the art piece. Students are to seek out some "very wise" people and bring in their written words of wisdom...quotes can also be brought in. These finished pieces will be on display throughout the building.
